BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO REPRESSING

What you will need

-Artist kit company Mold (Regular or XL)

-1 Ton Arbor Press ( Arbor Freight | Amazon )

-Paper (Cut in half, used for crushing powders)

-2x3 cellophane bags (For crushing & storing product)

-Alcohol (To prep the pan)

-Sandwich bags (cut into 2x2 squares to protect the hold from getting dirty after each color)

Optional Accessories:

-4x4 Steel Bench Block 1/2 thickness (Give the Arbor Press a sturdier base)

-Art rubber roller (Crush stiff powders)

(*In the step-by-step video, I mention filling the mold to 80–90%. You can now fill it all the way to the top.)

Tips for Beginners

-Not everything can or should be repressed.

-Start with matte products only.

-Practice on inexpensive or colors you may not like first.

- Expect some trial and error. Small cracks can happen and are normal. Just repress again.

-Avoid repressing baked powders like Hourglass, Mac Mineralize, Translucent powders, shimmery highlighters or shadows.
